Cotton made in Africa “Cotton made in Africa” is a social business initiative aimed at supporting sustainable development and improving the living conditions of African cotton farmers. It also provides an opportunity for international companies to successfully integrate African cotton into their product development and marketing strategies on a commercially viable basis. Aid by Trade is a foundation whose long-term objective is to help African cotton farmers help themselves. It is supported and overseen by many international organisations, including: German Development Corporation (DEG), German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), German Agro Action (DWHH), NABU and WWF Germany. Established in 2005, “Cotton made in Africa” is today used by numerous global textile companies, such as OTTO, REWE, Tom Tailor, Tchibo, S.Oliver, Puma and many more. Jefferson GmbH participates in “Cotton made in Africa” via customer projects. For more information, visit: www.cotton-made-in-africa.com
